The Inconvenient Truth

The inconvenient truth is this, all of us are born with a sin nature. We inherited it from our ancestors Adam and Eve. We know there is a sin nature because the bible tells us in Romans 5:12 ” Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.”
Did you know that you don’t have to do anything “bad” to go to hell or be separated from God? All one would have to do is just “live their life”, or as some say, “just keep doing me”, and not repent and receive God’s gift of salvation through Jesus. In other words doing absolutely nothing will ensure ones eternal destiny is void of God and His love.

The inconvenient truth is that baptism doesn’t save anyone, going to church regularly won’t save anyone, good works doesn’t save anyone, doing hail Mary’s or confessing sins to a priest won’t save anyone.

The inconvenient truth most people will never tell you is this:
Jesus said in John 3:1-21, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Jesus said in Matthew 16:24-26: “Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone
would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow
Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his
life for My sake will find it. What will it profit a man if he gains the
whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for
his soul?”

Jesus said within John 14:15-31: “He who has My commandments and keeps
them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My
Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

In Galatians 5 we see the works of the flesh: “Now the works of the flesh
are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath,
selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness,
revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also
told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit
the kingdom of God.”

And remember Jesus said adultery is simply lusting after anyone. Jesus
defined murder as being angry with anyone. So, how can we know we are saved
or that we will spend eternity with God?

Jesus always said to Repent which means to turn away from those things that
are sin and live a life according to God’s word.
In Mark 1:15 Jesus said: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is
at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
In John 8:11 Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery: “Woman, where are
your accusers? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, Lord,” she answered.
“Then neither do I condemn you, Jesus declared. “Now go and sin no more“.
1 John 1:6-7 reads: “If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk
in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the
light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the
blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

In Psalm 32:5 it says: “I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did
not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; And You
forgave the guilt of my sin.”

1 John 1:9 says: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Romans 10:8-13 reads: “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your
heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one
believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put
to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same
Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the
name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Once we have repented or turned from our sinful lifestyle and asked God for
forgiveness we must be baptized for it is a public display of our faith
decision.
1 Peter 3:21 reads: “There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism
(not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good
conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,”
Next it’s important to become involved in a bible believing and teaching
church in order for one to grow spiritually and not be again entangled in
the sin of the world.

Acts 2:46-47 reads: “With one accord they continued to meet daily in the
temple courts and to break bread from house to house, sharing their meals
with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying the favor
of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were
being saved”

In Hebrews 6:4-6 it reads: “For it is impossible for those who were once
enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers
of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of
the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance,
since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an
open shame.”

Also daily bible reading is very important. Remember Jesus said: “He who
has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves
Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to
him”

My prayer for all who read this that do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that you will repent of your sins, ask Jesus to forgive you, and begin living a life devoted to Him.

I share this all in love, because it’s the inconvenient truth no one else will ever tell you except one who truly loves you.
